Welcome to the end of another fine year!
This is a list of what should be on your DVD. We limited this disc to 24 videos and 6 photo albums, and divided the videos up into four “seasons” to make a sort of a theme. When possible, we will try to link to online versions of them, if any exist.
WINTER
- Christmas Eve in Salem (2008-12-26) Most of what we filmed this day was of the present-opening. Didn’t get much of anything else, but there’s more stuff in the pictures.
- Late Christmas in PDX (2009-01-05) We had a belated celebration in Portland, when the weather improved a little.
- Baby Shower in Salem (2009-01-19) Debbie threw this shower for Kandace. Ray wasn’t there, and so cannot be held responsible for the footage.
- Hawaii 2009 (2009-02-07) A longer film of Ray and Kandace in Hawaii, when Kandace was seven and a half months pregnant.
- Baby Shower in Portland (2009-03-07) Friends threw Kandace this party in Portland.
- Zoë’s First Movie (2009-04-14) Right after she was born.
SPRING
- Watermelon Day (2009-04-20) – Seems to be a favorite, it’s just really cute footage of a very young Zoë. The music is Life’s a Gas by T. Rex.
- Giraffe Day (2009-04-29) – Another film of a very young Zoë, sleeping late in bed. Music is Django Reinhardt.
- Daisy Day! (2009-04-30) – Tiffany and Kathy are visiting Portland, and little Zoë. More music by Django.
- Ladies at Canon Beach (2009-05-01) – Theresa, Raymond, Kandace, Tiffany, and Zoë in Canon beach. More music by Django.
- Birthday Parties in Salem (2009-05-09) – At Cindy and Paul’s place, celebrating some birthdays and chatting about video games. Yet again, the music is Django.
- Late May with Zoë Rae (2009-05-16) – Zoë really looking like she needs a nap.
SUMMER
- First Trip to the Zoo (2009-06-18) – We got our Zoo membership mostly for Zoë, but she really isn’t doing much paying attention yet!
- Father’s Day (2009-06-28) – A trip to Manzanita, on the Oregon coast. We were invited by our friends Brian and Margaret, as it was also Brian’s birthday. The music is by Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass.
- Grassy Saturday (2009-06-28) – Hanging out in our back yard. It’s a hot, lazy day. No idea how the subject of Obama comes up in my conversation with Zoë.
- First Swimming Lesson (2009-07-25) – Music is Can’t Wait Too Long by The Beach Boys.
- BBQ in Salem (2009-08-15) – We enjoyed lunch together and released balloons in memory of Don. The wine flowed freely, thanks to Craig, and all of the adults seem pretty goofy by the end of the afternoon.
- Z in September (2009-09-05) – Just spending time around our house. Music is Colours by Donovan.
AUTUMN
- San Pellegrino and Zoë (2009-09-25) – Playing in the back yard with a bottle of water. Music is Laughing by REM.
- Swimming Lesson (2009-10-07) – A slow motion view of another swimming lesson. Music is Alright by Guided By Voices.
- Las Vegas, Part One (2009-10-08) – Visiting with some of the family in Las Vegas. Music is Small Box and Babylon by our very own Raymond!
- Las Vegas, Part Two (2009-10-10) – Visiting with friends on the boat, which I think Zoë really liked. Music is Burning Down by REM.
- Las Vegas, Part Three (2009-10-11) – Playing with Zoë, at the end of our Las Vegas stay, first in our room and then in a lovely outdoor area. Music is Comfort Me by Sparklehorse.
- Thanksgiving in Portland (2009-11-26) – Lots of good food and good company. More music by Django Reinhardt.
